PROBLEM STATEMENT: 

To design the new brand identity and its applications for the new company.

OBJECTIVES:

The objective was to design a brand identity that conveys seriousness and legitimacy to the marketplace and attracts potential investments (companies, funds, business partners and others).

RESULT:

Hexameter is a reference to the meter of epic Latin and Greek poetry, which was six feet per line. The company’s founder has both a classical education (ie. Latin) and a classical training background in investing. Therefore, a name that represented process and order as well as dedication, respect for history and epic works was chosen. For the logo I was inspired by Roman art and architecture. I chose Roman columns particularly as a graphic element to work with. In terms of the color palette, I decided to work with navy blue since it conveys importance, confidence, power and authority, as well as intelligence, stability, unity, trust, loyalty and wisdom, which are all adjectives the brand is meant to be associated with. And to complement this, I chose to use taupe, which symbolizes elegance, formality and dependability.
